Massive wildfires continue to burn in Argentina’s pristine national forests as local authorities say foul play is afoot. A $30k reward has been posted for any information on who started some of these fires, and police say they know many were started with gasoline or other accelerants.
Then you have reports and videos of tourists starting fires in the parks, and grenades being found. Internet theories are running wild, but they only get some of the facts right. I dive down the rabbit hole and clear up some of the facts.
Also, new bipartisan legislation was introduced to provide up to $1B per year to help homeowners and communities harden their properties and neighborhoods. Sen. Padilla of California and Sen. Sheehy of Montana have spearheaded this legislation.
