I was working on an article yesterday about the National Interagency Fire Center’s 2024 Wildland Fire Summary and Statistics Annual Report. Then, an email from the USDA came out ordering Forest Service employees to delete all references to climate change, including those that suggest it is causing more catastrophic wildfires.

This order spans the entirety of the United States Department of Agriculture.
