A chat with George Broyles, the individual who filed the FOIA request on PFAS.

On Today’s Show:

  • Senators have sent a letter to Secretary Burgum of the Department of the Interior requesting that 13 questions be answered about the USWFS.

  • Many of the question revole around funding and how land management activities will continue if wildland firefighters are moved from the land management agencies.

  • They also reiterate that any movement of Forest Service firefighters would take congressional action.

  • The Forest Service issued a statement acknowledging PFAS chemicals in wildfire clothing. They cover the actions they have taken to remove these items.

  • I interview George Broyles, a Forest Service employee who filed a FOIA request to obtain internal emails about PFAS in wildfire clothing.
