Utah had a very destructive wildfire season, with dozens of structures lost and multiple high profile wildfires in the wildland urban interface (WUI). The Monroe Canyon, Deer Creek, and Forsyth fires burned over 100,000 acres and led to widespread evacuations and property loss, resulting in millions of dollars of suppression costs.
