Some of you like to cook. Some of you probably don’t. But we should all agree that ingesting good food is something we should all do. Shitty food is like bad saw gas in a chainsaw at elevation. It’s just not going to run well, and neither will you.
So I’ve put together a breakfast that will start the day like it’s supposed to.
Hotshot Hash
We complain all the time about how shitty fire food is for you. So lets do something about our diets in the off season. Some may look at the ingredients list and think this is some “hippy dippy” hash. Grow up… this is a “pack loaded up for a morning hike up a mountain” hash.

The recipe is not ruined if you are missing an item or two but the complete experience is worth it. Try to find fresh organic produce if possible.
You will need the following: Makes enough for 2 active fit people with a healthy appetite.
2 small\medium red potatoes
1 Red or white onion
1 avocado
3-4 cloves of garlic
Spinach
1 Carrot
A bell pepper. Preferably yellow or red
2 eggs
A good cheese. I use a local organic Goat Cheddar
Pesto {not necessary… but damn}
Apple cider vinegar
Salt and pepper
Any herbs you prefer. For this I added Lemon Thyme and Rosemary
The first thing you’ll want to do is get yourself out of bed and stretch. Drink a glass of water. Now make yourself that cup of coffee or tea if you are a heathen like me that’s addicted to caffeine. Once your beverage is prepared put on a good soundtrack or podcast. Cool, we can start breakfast now.
Chop the garlic finely.
