A Hotshot on Calf Canyon Fire Hit by Hazard Tree.
In the USFS Weekly Summary they reported that an IHC crew member was struck by a tree during hazard-tree felling operations to support firing operations. The hazard tree got hung up in a live, green tree, which changed the felling approach. When the tree fell, it pivoted on the ground and began falling in an uphill direction.
