Australian Firefighter Fatality After Tree Strike.
The incident took place on the Hudson Fire.
This week, a wildland firefighter who was volunteering to battle the Hudson Fire in the Walgett Region of Australia passed away after a tree strike on the line. The New South Wales Rural Fire Service is a volunteer-based fire service that protects roughly 95% of the New South Wales land mass.
