Firefighter Killed While Fighting a Wildfire in Virginia.

Investigation underway.

Last night in Buchanan County, Virginia, a wildland firefighter lost their life during an initial attack fire. Rocky Wood worked with the Virginia Department of Forestry and was responding to a fire in the Roseann community.

Wood was a 7-year veteran of the Department.
