Mid-Air Collision Between Helicopters Over California Wildfire.
A Skycrane and a Bell 407 were involved.
Yesterday while working the Broadway Fire in Riverside County, California, near Cabazon, two helicopters collided in the air. A Sikorsky S-64E and a Bell 407 were involved in the mid-air collision. It sounds like the Bell was doing recon for the fire, and the Skycrane was involved in water drop operations.
