We are at a point now where wake ups are starting to get colder. Frost is back in some parts of the country, specifically Idaho, and the body is taking longer to warm up. Boots are cold and stiff and so is yourself. I would always rack out 30 pushups on the cold mornings to get everything moving. It really helps getting those toes warm in the cold boots. Alas, it’s time to get it done.
First:
Make sure you’re well hydrated before the workout. I prefer a protein shake with a little caffeine as well.
Loosen up, dynamic stretch, and find some good music or a podcast.
Run 2 miles slowly building your pace until the last 1\4 is a near sprint. Stretch, find your breath again, and ensure you are ready to go… This is a warm up run.
Ok cool, lets get started.
