There are still some crews out West putting in hours on the last remaining fires and others punching out some burns across the United States, but we are now in what we call “shoulder season.” Folks are looking at snow reports, getting ready to ski, hit the beach, hunt, and run the races they have been looking forward to.
Rest is important after a long season, but maintaining fitness is just as important. The last thing you want is to fall off the fitness cliff only to have to climb all the way back up again.
