The season is here. Some of you have already turned the lights on. Some are stocking trucks and checking gear out. Others are waiting for the seasonals to start coming on in a week or two and the seasonals are working out in anticipation of the season ahead.
The facts remain the same however, we all need a work out. So I put together this Monday morning workout so we can all suffer together, the way it’s intended to be. As always, it’s designed to increase our hiking ability, develop core, and increase cardio performance.
Enjoy…
First :
Drink a glass of water and a protein shake at least 30 mins before the workout.
Stretch and get loose.
If you’re a headphones and music person find something to get you through a grind. If you are not, find a happy place.
Start with a warm up mile. First 1\4 mile slow and increase fluidly until you end at a near sprint.
Dynamic stretch until you feel you are loose and warmed up.
Cool.
Round 1 : Repeat this round three times
Move quick - Form is important
20 standing lunges {10 each side}
3 burpees
5 pull ups
20 air squats
1 min plank
1 min rest
When you are done shake it out and continue to round two after you return to a resting heart rate.
