Monday Morning Workout: When You're At The Top, You're Only Half Way There.
A workout to make you forget it's cold outside.
Happy Monday to everyone freezing around the nation right now. Hopefully, you can find a sauna or a hot cup of coffee to sip on for a bit. But don’t forget the positives… the days are getting longer, and spring always comes.
I took a poll this weekend asking how many people had run a sub 10:30 mile and a half so far this year. About 45% of you have. Not going to lie; that was more than I expected, so props to all of you out there. The truth about wildfire, especially Hotshot-ing, is the work starts once you get to the top. So, we should work on making the journey to the top easier.
Today’s workout focuses on building those hiking muscles and building that mental toughness during those hikes. A lot of people drop out because their brain tells them to, not their legs.
Truth be told, this workout is a grind, but it’ll make you forget about the cold.
So find yourself a good soundtrack or podcast, and let’s get it done.
Get loose and dynamic stretch until warmed up.
