New Drought Maps Show Spring Precipitation Lessening Drought Impacts.

Still 45% of the Country in Drought

New drought maps have been released by the Drought Center. In them it shows that over the last week progress has been made. However, 45% of the country is still in drought. Spring rains have shown themselves in the Pacific Northwest and in the Northern Rockies but the amount is not sufficient enough to make up for lack of snow pack.
