Believe it or not, there was once a nationwide presidential fitness test. According to Wiki, The Presidential Fitness Test was a national physical fitness testing program conducted in the United States public middle and high schools from the late 1950s until 2013, when it was disbanded.
The test included pull-ups, sit-ups, a shuttle run (sprints), a standing broad jump, a 50-yard dash, and a softball throw (some say to simulate throwing a grenade). A few of the reasons stated for disbanding the Presidential fitness test was it caused fatphobia and mental health concerns, including body image issues. As a lot of you know, gym class has basically disappeared from our schools.
So… in recognition of President’s Day, I’ve put together a workout that mimics the Presidential fitness test but is slightly more extensive…
Enjoy!

Get loose and dynamic stretch until warmed up. If you need to adjust some of these numbers, that’s ok.
