Red Flags Are Back: California Could See An Active Start To The Week.
Plus a Workout. Don't fall behind.
This is the time of year when everyone starts to get comfortable and lets their guard down, definitely in more ways than one. California will see a return of Red Flag conditions, predicted winds up to 80MPH, and extreme wildfire danger.
The Los Angeles National Weather Service issued its strongest warning starting Monday regarding the potential for extreme and life-threatening fire behavior. The biggest concern will be trees and powerlines toppling over if the predicted winds do materialize. Relative humidities are expected to drop into single digits in some areas across southern California starting Tuesday.
At the start of this week, we could see some active fire days across southern California. Here are the areas for which Red Flag Warnings have been issued this Monday morning. We have seen busy December’s in California before, so it wouldn't be totally out of the normal. However, with it being slow lately, this is when folks can get caught off guard.
In the other parts of the country, warnings have gone out for sleet, snow, freezing rain, and all the other fun winter weather advisories. That leads to another problem. The overwhelming urge to stay inside and do nothing. The danger there is getting behind the curve on your fitness, rolling into the holidays, crushing every sweet you see, and trying to get yourself off the couch at the start of the new year…
So, let’s start the week with a workout circuit that will make you feel good, challenge you, and shake off the winter blues.
