On Today’s Show:
Researchers from the University of Bristol are starting to test AI drone swarms to detect, suppress, and surveil forests for wildfires. “We can keep fires small.”
The Swarms consist of 30 autonomous drones at a time, 24 hours a day, with each aircraft having a 30ft wingspan. Researchers say states like California can utilize these swarms to deter arsonists by having them constantly overhead.
The Forest Service hires pack Llamas. Not something you see every day. They can carry 80 lbs of gear each.
California finally gets some of their C-130 aircraft operational over wildfires. These came from the Coast Guard and was an 8-year process.
PNW fires slow down, Idaho and Montana still busy.
Full operational update.
