  • I explained what happened and what is now planned.

  • Wyoming continues to burn, with the Elk Fire scooping up numerous Hotshot crews from Oregon, Washington, Montana, Colorado, South Dakota, and more.

  • Dozens of crews are shutting down with Red Flags and fire weather predicted for October. The Nation is still at a PL3 with the potential for large fires continuing in California and other states.

  • The Forest Service puts out a new overtime policy for FY25. It affects both fire and nonfire employees.
