On Today’s Show:
This morning, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Administration’s request to halt the reinstatement of terminated probationary employees. The ruling affects 16,000 employees, including the Department of Interior and USDA. The court decision puts a stay on the return to work order, but a final decision has yet to be made on the matter. The order leaves in place a previous decision to keep the employees on paid admin leave.
Also, after nearly a two-year FBI investigation, a second Idaho wildfire contractor has pleaded guilty to bid rigging in the Great Basin dispatch jurisdiction. Two individuals have now entered a guilty plea after their phones were wiretapped by authorities, where it was found they were working to split up territories and to rig bids to garner more wildfire contracts.
