The Region saw 1,137 new starts and multiple firefighter injuries.
Texas and Oklahoma popped off this week. This prompted the Southern Area to move into a Preparedness Level 3 after 1,000+ new starts taxed resources across the two states. Even Mississippi, Missouri, Alabama, and Louisiana pitched in with multiple new fires of their own.
