The United States Sees the Slowest Fire Season in 25 Years.
There are some very interesting comparisons to previous seasons.
As Canada finishes puking its wildfire smoke across the skies of East Coast legacy cities, the western United States has seen the slowest wildfire season in a quarter century. You have to go all the way back to 1998 to find a year that has as few acres burned. The next closest one is 1993.
