It's all about the money...once the timber-harvesting folks are convinced that their product will be longer, straighter, and wider; and when livestock operators are convinced that grass/forb production will make their critters fatter; and when insurance rates are lower for the WUI folks via rx burns we've won the battle, maybe not the war per se. Lastly, thinking that we're going back to the "before 10 am" thing is insane (but sexy to the public) Loved the show. Cheers

This is one smart conversation. Especially important is its support of creating awareness & community actions BEFORE one’s community gets hit. Kelly Martin’s big picture comments are very encouraging. Also, her proposal about schools using curriculum to get students involved in not fearing fire, but rather learning and engaging with their environment to create healthy, fire safe biodiversity is exciting.
