Yesterday evening, the Associate Chief of the Forest Service sent an email out with an update on everything that’s been happening across the Agency and in the wildfire space. It was the most straightforward, honest, authentic, and compassionate piece of communication I’ve seen in some time.
It covers everything from wildfire priorities, agency priorities, purchase cards, contracts, grants, staffing through AD assignments for those who chose the deferred resignation, re-org plans and timing, plus more.
It was refreshing to see communication coming from the top that looks and sounds like it came from a human… I cover the details of this email.
Also, a full operational update on the wildfires across the nation and the expected uptick in activity heading into a holiday weekend.
