On Today’s Show:
Breaking news of a new lawsuit filed days ago in Missoula, Montana, by the Forest Service Employees for Environmental Ethics asking for an injunction on using fire retardants in the National Forests.
This is the same group that sued the Forest Service in 2022, saying they broke the Clean Water Act. This time around, they are using the Endangered Species Act to try and stop the use of aerial fire suppressants.
The judge selected for the case resides in Missoula, Montana, and recently ruled against the Forest Service and Fish and Wildlife Service in April of this year in another case.
I cover the entire lawsuit and its implications as we approach peak fire season in the western United States.
