On Today’s Show:
New details have emerged after the USDA proposed new Reduction-in-Force measures. Individuals with knowledge of the plan say it could include the consolidation of Regions and National Forests and moving the Forest Service's wildfire division to a different part of the Government.
The USDA has also brought back the Deferred Resignation Program for employees above GS-10, hoping more upper management employees take the package. They expect more positions to be eliminated after the resignation program ends on April 8th. Some offices may be shuttered in D.C.
Also, a new study found firefighters who responded to the Eaton and Palisades Fire in California had 3-5 times the normal lead and mercury levels in their blood. The preliminary study suspected this was due to operating near electric cars, solar panels, and battery packs burning nearby.
Very concerning.
