The Watch Fire in Arizona was found to have been started by someone burning an American Flag. 20+ homes were destroyed, animals killed, and 400 were forced to evacuate.
Multiple severe injuries last week on wildfire.
There was a gnarly chainsaw cut; one firefighter was hit by a tree, resulting in major injuries; a lookout was pinned by a rolling tree round, a fall that resulted in a seizure and an ICU admission. Scary stuff.
Montana initiates the Public Power Safety Shutoff Program around Helena, Bozeman, and Great Falls.
Oregon calls in the National Guard. Helpful weather is expected across the PNW, Idaho, and Montana.
